Working at heights Falls are a major cause of death and serious injury in Australian workplaces. Fall hazards are found in protected cropping environments by working on roofs, operating machinery for maintenance, and loading and unloading trucks.

Key messages: • Irrigation pump energy efficiency was improved by 22% • Irrigation energy use per megalitre was decreased by 28% • Irrigation costs were reduced by 27%, or $222/annum • Estimated payback period on the changes implemented is less than 12 months.
